Asymptomatic microbiuria
Asymptomatic microbiuria is defined as the existence of a sufficient number of microbes in the urine, which is confirmed by urine culture and is not accompanied by any symptom. In this case, antibiotic treatment is NOT needed except in the following cases:
- Diabetic patients
- Pregnant
- Immunocompromised patients
- Patients who will undergo transurethral procedures
